The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a Part-Time Art and Design Lecturer to provide maternity cover and support students from entry level through to advanced qualifications. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for teaching and a strong background in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across BTEC Art and Design levels 1 through 3.
- Support students through individual and group tutoring, ensuring high standards of achievement.
- Monitor and maintain student attendance, retention, and progress.
- Participate in evening and weekend teaching sessions as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to administrative tasks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching practice.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recent industry-related experience in Art and Design.
- Undergraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
- Qualification in English and Mathematics at minimum Level 2.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in classroom-based teaching.
Preferred
- Teaching qualification or experience in vocational education.
- Experience with BTEC Art and Design qualifications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrated ability to support student progression and achievement.
