The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and inspiring Part-Time Art Teacher to join its team on a 0.6 basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Art and Textiles education to A-Level students, contributing to the school's commitment to creative excellence and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art and Textiles lessons to A-Level students.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Art department's curriculum.
  • Support and mentor students to achieve their full potential in Art and Textiles.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and events related to the Creative Arts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Art and Textiles education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art or Textiles.
  • Experience teaching Art and/or Textiles to A-Level students.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for Art and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Ability to work flexibly on a part-time basis.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities in the Creative Arts.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment in Art and Textiles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals.
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices in Art and Textiles education.
