The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Part-Time Art Teacher to join our dynamic department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students across the 11–18 age range and contribute to the continued success of the Art Department. The right candidate may also have the chance to take on a leadership role as Head of Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Art across the 11–18 age range with a focus on academic success and student engagement.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that encourage creativity and technical skill.
- Support the development of students’ artistic abilities and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s strong academic record.
- Contribute to the delivery of a rich and varied extra-curricular programme.
- Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in Art education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art education.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience teaching across the 11–18 age range.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a school department.
- Knowledge of modern Art techniques and teaching methodologies.
- Experience with students with additional learning needs.
- A proven track record of academic success and student engagement.
