The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Drama and English to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum and pedagogical strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve teaching and learning.
  • Support students’ personal and academic development through pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in staff development programs and ongoing professional learning opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school’s vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Drama and English education.
  • Commitment to evidence-based teaching and continuous professional development.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering drama and English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring other teachers.
  • Background in a Research School or similar educational setting.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
