The Opportunity:
A part-time teacher of Design & Technology and Art is needed to join a small creative arts faculty, teaching pupils in Key Stages 2 to 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology and Art across Key Stages 2 to 4.
- Manage and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Plan and prepare engaging and innovative lesson plans aligned with the AQA specification.
- Support students in developing practical skills and creative thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
- Deliver Food & Nutrition lessons where required.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
- Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design & Technology and Art.
- Experience teaching Key Stages 2 to 4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Food & Nutrition.
- Familiarity with the AQA GCSE specification.
- Experience working in a small school or independent school setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
