The Opportunity:

A part-time teacher of Design & Technology and Art is needed to join a small creative arts faculty, teaching pupils in Key Stages 2 to 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology and Art across Key Stages 2 to 4.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Plan and prepare engaging and innovative lesson plans aligned with the AQA specification.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and creative thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
  • Deliver Food & Nutrition lessons where required.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design & Technology and Art.
  • Experience teaching Key Stages 2 to 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Food & Nutrition.
  • Familiarity with the AQA GCSE specification.
  • Experience working in a small school or independent school setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
