Part Time Learning Support Practitioner - Minehead, Somerset

The Opportunity:
As a Part Time Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting students across residential, classroom, and hotel environments. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by helping them develop the skills needed for independence and future employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in residential houses, classroom settings, and the Foxes Hotel.
- Assist in managing student behaviour and promote positive learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with tutors and house managers to create a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Provide one-to-one support to monitor and encourage students’ personal development and independence.
- Promote life skills such as cooking, personal hygiene, communication, and teamwork.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins, on a two-week rota.
- Encourage students to reach their full potential through consistent support and guidance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Willingness to work a flexible rota, including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Commitment to supporting students with learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in education, care, or a similar support role.
- Background in working with individuals with learning disabilities.
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
- Level 3 qualification in education or care.
- Full UK driving licence.
