Part Time Learning Support Practitioner - Aurora Foxes

The Opportunity:
As a Part Time Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the skills and confidence needed for independent living and future employment. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in residential houses, classroom settings, and the Foxes Hotel.
- Encourage students to reach their full potential through positive reinforcement and guidance.
- Assist in managing student behaviour and promote a respectful, safe environment.
- Collaborate with session tutors to create a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Help students develop essential life skills including personal hygiene, cooking, communication, and teamwork.
- Provide one-to-one support to monitor and enhance students’ independence and personal development.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins, on a two-week rota.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Commitment to supporting young people with learning disabilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a care or education setting.
- Level 3 qualification in education or care.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Understanding of working with individuals with disabilities.
