The Opportunity:

We are seeking a part-time mini bus driver to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of students and maintaining the school vehicle in a roadworthy condition. The ideal candidate will be friendly, flexible, and a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure the school vehicle is in a roadworthy condition at all times.
Maintain a courteous and welcoming manner when dealing with parents and students.
Adapt to the changing demands of school life with a flexible approach.
Work collaboratively with the team to support the school’s transportation needs.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures for student welfare.
Keep accurate records of student pick-up and drop-off times.
Communicate effectively with staff and parents as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

A valid D1 license or willingness to complete training if required.
Experience in driving school transport vehicles.
A strong commitment to student safety and welfare.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
A reliable and punctual individual with a good driving record.

Preferred

Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
Knowledge of local Exeter routes and traffic conditions.
Experience with child passenger safety procedures.
A friendly and approachable demeanor.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate of £13.80 per hour.
Flexible working hours (06:30 – 08:30 or 15:45 – 17:45).
Additional hours may be available depending on demand.
