A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Part-Time Music Teacher (0.6 FTE) to inspire and engage students aged 13-18. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping students reach their full potential in Music, while contributing to the vibrant academic and cultural life of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons to students aged 13-18, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning experience.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s strong academic and cultural standards.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to support their development in Music.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in Music education.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A high-quality degree in Music and/or Music Education.
  • Experience teaching Music to students aged 13-18.
  • A strong commitment to student welfare and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with international curricula.
  • Experience with a range of musical instruments and performance styles.
  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular music programs.
