The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Music Teacher to join our growing music department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across KS3 to KS5 and contribute to a vibrant extra-curricular programme. The position supports the school’s ongoing journey of improvement and expansion in music education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach music classes to students across Key Stages 3 to 5
- Support and enhance the wide range of extra-curricular music activities and clubs
- Inspire and engage students in performance opportunities and music production
- Collaborate with peripatetic teachers and other staff to deliver a dynamic music programme
- Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and values
- Encourage student leadership and participation in music-related initiatives
- Contribute to the development of the department’s future plans, including new BTEC Music Performance courses
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting
- Ability to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5
Preferred
- Experience with Key Stage 5 music teaching
- Experience in music performance or production
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for music education and student development
