The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Music Teacher to join our thriving Creative Arts faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop their musical skills, and contribute to a vibrant and growing music department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and structured lessons
- Develop students’ performance, composition, and listening skills through practical and creative methods
- Plan and deliver lessons that enhance musical understanding, technique, and confidence
- Use effective assessment strategies to support student progress and creativity
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, from beginners to advanced musicians
- Contribute to an exciting extracurricular programme including choirs, ensembles, and music clubs
- Support the school’s commitment to high-quality music education and student development
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the music department and its offerings
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education
- Strong subject knowledge in Music
- Ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons
- Experience working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Commitment to student development and musical growth
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular music activities
- Background in composition or performance
- Experience with assessment and differentiation strategies
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of music
