The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Music Teacher to join our thriving Creative Arts faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop their musical skills, and contribute to a vibrant and growing music department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and structured lessons
  • Develop students’ performance, composition, and listening skills through practical and creative methods
  • Plan and deliver lessons that enhance musical understanding, technique, and confidence
  • Use effective assessment strategies to support student progress and creativity
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, from beginners to advanced musicians
  • Contribute to an exciting extracurricular programme including choirs, ensembles, and music clubs
  • Support the school’s commitment to high-quality music education and student development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the music department and its offerings

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education
  • Strong subject knowledge in Music
  • Ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons
  • Experience working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Commitment to student development and musical growth

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular music activities
  • Background in composition or performance
  • Experience with assessment and differentiation strategies
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of music
