The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Part-Time Primary Spanish Teacher to join our dedicated World Languages Team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about language education and committed to fostering student well-being, social-emotional development, and academic success. The teacher will deliver engaging, communicative Spanish lessons that build language competence and confidence in non-native learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, communicative Spanish lessons tailored to non-native learners.
  • Foster student well-being and social-emotional development in every lesson and interaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a rigorous, skills-based thematic curriculum.
  • Support students in reaching their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
  • Promote a positive, solution-focused approach to teaching and learning.
  • Encourage curiosity, engagement, and challenge in students through personalized instruction.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching practice and continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and globally minded school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Spanish at the primary level.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging, communicative lessons.
  • Commitment to student well-being and social-emotional development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with the National Curriculum or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with thematic and interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and global education initiatives.
  • Experience with student-led learning and project-based teaching methods.
