The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time School Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all areas of the school. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to provide a nurturing and inclusive setting for students with complex care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all areas of the school including classrooms, offices, corridors, and toilets.
• Perform vacuuming, mopping, and spray cleaning of floors and hard surfaces.
• Spot clean spillages and ensure all areas are kept tidy and hygienic.
• Clean and empty bins on a daily basis, including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
• Dust, wipe, and polish surfaces, furniture, and door glass.
• Replenish janitorial supplies in toilets and other areas as required.
• Undertake deep cleaning tasks as needed throughout the school.
• Ensure windows are closed, lights are switched off, and the building is secure after work hours.
• Support the school team by assisting with any additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning materials and equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities and support the school team.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
• Experience with cleaning in environments that support students with complex care needs.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
