Summary:
Part Time SEN Science Teacher – 0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week in Berkeley.

The Opportunity:
As a Part Time SEN Science Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, tailored education to pupils with SEN needs, including SEMH and ASD. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and develop the curriculum with a focus on the educational, physical and social needs of students.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support student learning and development.
- Create and maintain short, medium and long-term lesson plans to support individual learning goals.
- Set, monitor and review personalised targets to optimise learning outcomes for each student.
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress to parents, team members and senior staff as required.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through training and research.
- Analyse and reflect on lesson outcomes to continuously improve teaching practice.
- Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science up to GCSE level.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Preferred
- A Postgraduate Diploma in SEN.
- Experience in delivering a differentiated curriculum tailored to a wide range of learning needs.
