The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Pastoral Business Support Assistant to join a dedicated team. This role is essential in supporting the pastoral care of students and contributing to a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the school’s mission to nurture and educate young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the pastoral function of the school, including liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies
- Prepare resources and deliver lessons to individuals and small groups
- Assist with administrative and organisational tasks related to student support
- Maintain a consistent and reliable approach to all duties
- Work collaboratively with the pastoral team and other departments as required
- Ensure the smooth operation of pastoral systems and processes
- Engage with students and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to student well-being and academic success
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 3 x GCSEs Grade 9-4 including English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos
- Fluency in spoken English
Preferred
- Experience in a pastoral or educational support role
- Knowledge of behaviour management systems
- Experience with working in a Church of England school
- Understanding of child development and welfare
- Experience with supporting students with additional needs
