The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Pastoral Business Support Assistant to join a dedicated team. This role is essential in supporting the pastoral care of students and contributing to a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the school’s mission to nurture and educate young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the pastoral function of the school, including liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies
  • Prepare resources and deliver lessons to individuals and small groups
  • Assist with administrative and organisational tasks related to student support
  • Maintain a consistent and reliable approach to all duties
  • Work collaboratively with the pastoral team and other departments as required
  • Ensure the smooth operation of pastoral systems and processes
  • Engage with students and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to student well-being and academic success

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 3 x GCSEs Grade 9-4 including English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos
  • Fluency in spoken English

Preferred

  • Experience in a pastoral or educational support role
  • Knowledge of behaviour management systems
  • Experience with working in a Church of England school
  • Understanding of child development and welfare
  • Experience with supporting students with additional needs
