The Opportunity:
As a Pastoral Coordinator (Sixth Form), you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social progress of students. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student well-being and development within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head, Deputy Head, and Assistant Head of Sixth Form in managing the academic, emotional, and social progress of students.
- Work closely with Sixth Form Tutors to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
- Promote and support the social, emotional, and mental health of students.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and well-being.
- Provide guidance and support to students in both academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress and well-being regularly.
- Organise and deliver pastoral activities and events that support student development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and listening abilities
- Commitment to student well-being and academic success
- Experience in a pastoral or educational support role
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in a Sixth Form or similar environment
- Knowledge of mental health and well-being support strategies
- Experience in developing and delivering pastoral programmes
- Familiarity with the school’s values and culture
