The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral Coordinator (Sixth Form), you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social progress of students. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student well-being and development within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head, Deputy Head, and Assistant Head of Sixth Form in managing the academic, emotional, and social progress of students.
  • Work closely with Sixth Form Tutors to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Promote and support the social, emotional, and mental health of students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and well-being.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in both academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being regularly.
  • Organise and deliver pastoral activities and events that support student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and listening abilities
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic success
  • Experience in a pastoral or educational support role
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in a Sixth Form or similar environment
  • Knowledge of mental health and well-being support strategies
  • Experience in developing and delivering pastoral programmes
  • Familiarity with the school’s values and culture
