As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in supporting students across the curriculum, ensuring they receive the guidance and care they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with varying needs through effective pastoral care and guidance.
- Work closely with teaching staff and other pastoral managers to ensure a cohesive approach to student welfare.
- Monitor and track student progress and well-being through regular communication and data analysis.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support strategies to help students achieve their full potential.
- Organise and lead House activities that promote respect, responsibility, and community spirit.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on student welfare and pastoral outcomes.
- Collaborate with external agencies and parents to support student needs and ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Promote the school’s ASPIRE framework and character development initiatives across all year groups.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A relevant qualification in education or social care, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in managing and leading a team or group of students.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-academy trust environment.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong pastoral structure and House system.
- Familiarity with the ASPIRE framework and character development initiatives.
- Experience in supporting students with additional needs or complex challenges.
- Leadership experience within a school or educational setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary £27,040 - £29,373 (actual).
- Term-time only working hours (37 hours per week).
