The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our dedicated team and support the education, supervision, and care of students. This role is central to maintaining high standards of behaviour and fostering positive relationships within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of pastoral care and supervision to students across the school.
- Assist with the organisation and management of school events and activities.
- Contribute to the monitoring and implementation of rewards and sanctions systems.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Work closely with the safeguarding team and perform specific safeguarding duties.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the pastoral team and other departments.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of positive relationships with students and staff.
- Support colleagues across the school and be flexible in taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in a pastoral or educational support role.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse needs.
- Confidence in working with parents and external agencies.
