The Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced PDA tutors with excellent communication skills to work in the London area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one tutoring to students with PDA and other SEN needs
  • Apply the Bright Heart Approach, focusing on building trust, self-esteem, and academic progress
  • Work closely with students, parents, and education consultants to create and follow individual learning plans
  • Maintain detailed records and report progress regularly
  • Attend training sessions and safeguarding workshops to ensure the highest standards of care and support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in the subject(s) you are tutoring
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list

Preferred

  • Experience with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)
  • Previous experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred methods
  • Experience with online and in-person tutoring
  • Familiarity with study techniques and life skills support
