Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality PE lessons to students aged 5 to 18, including GCSE.
  • Use assessment data effectively to monitor student progress and provide detailed feedback.
  • Embed the school's core values into all aspects of teaching and school life.
  • Promote student wellbeing and resilience as part of the Cognita Be Well Charter.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, events, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Support students in developing both academic and personal skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level, including preparation for external examinations.
  • Commitment to holistic education and student development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE or IB.
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
  • Passion for sport and student engagement.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
