Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality PE lessons to students aged 5 to 18, including GCSE.
- Use assessment data effectively to monitor student progress and provide detailed feedback.
- Embed the school's core values into all aspects of teaching and school life.
- Promote student wellbeing and resilience as part of the Cognita Be Well Charter.
- Participate in co-curricular activities, events, and enrichment opportunities.
- Support students in developing both academic and personal skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level, including preparation for external examinations.
- Commitment to holistic education and student development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE or IB.
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
- Passion for sport and student engagement.
- Experience in safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
