Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons that promote physical fitness and well-being.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s Skills for Life vision.
  • Support students in developing teamwork, leadership, and life skills through sport and physical activity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for students.
  • Cover classes when required, ensuring continuity and a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote physical education and student engagement.
  • Stay up to date with current best practices in PE and education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in physical education.
  • Strong knowledge of PE curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering life skills through sport and physical activity.
  • Experience with vocational and personal skills development.
  • Familiarity with the school’s Skills for Life focus.
  • Experience in working with young people in a school setting.
