The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver a dynamic and comprehensive physical education program that promotes athleticism, health, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality physical education program across a range of sports including athletics, football, basketball, and swimming.
- Promote health and fitness through strength training, endurance, and injury prevention initiatives.
- Support the development of movement and coordination through gymnastics and agility training.
- Foster sports leadership and strategy by coaching students in teamwork, game analysis, and competitive sports.
- Lead and support inter-school competitions and extracurricular athletic programs.
- Integrate modern training techniques to enhance student performance and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching methods.
- Engage actively in the school community through extra-curricular and community-based events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
- Proven experience of teaching PE to KS4/KS5 or equivalent.
- A willingness to collaborate and share outstanding teaching practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, students, and parents.
- A proven track record of providing outstanding learning and teaching.
- A growth mindset with a reflective and solution-focused approach.
- Be creative and enthusiastic in teaching delivery.
Preferred
- A Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Specialist expertise in competitive sports, health and fitness, movement and coordination, or sports leadership and strategy.
- Experience with emerging technologies in sports training and education.
