Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote physical development, confidence, and lifelong participation in sport.
  • Design and implement a varied and engaging curriculum that links physical education with other subjects.
  • Support the development of students’ teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Encourage a culture of inclusivity and participation, ensuring all students can succeed in PE.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate PE with other areas of the curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Promote a healthy and active lifestyle both within and beyond the school environment.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including sports teams and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education.
  • Strong knowledge of PE curriculum and delivery methods.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and across different departments.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering PE to students aged 11-16.
  • Involvement in extracurricular sports or physical activities.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
  • Passion for promoting lifelong participation in sport and physical activity.
