The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join our department on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave from April 2026. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ physical and personal development through high-quality, engaging lessons and co-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach inclusive and engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3–5, with some provision in the Junior School
- Lead and coach netball teams and at least one other sport across multiple age groups
- Use assessment data to track progress, provide feedback, and set individual targets
- Contribute to departmental planning and the development of PE policy and practice
- Act as a positive role model, upholding the highest standards of professionalism
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the pupil experience
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3–5
- Strong knowledge of sports coaching and leadership
- Commitment to promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and safe practice
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to departmental planning
Preferred
- Experience with leading lunchtime and after-school clubs
- Experience in officiating sports fixtures and events
- Experience in inter-house competitions and sports days
- Experience in safeguarding and health and safety procedures
- Experience with assessment and tracking student progress
