The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a motivated PE Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join a dynamic and collaborative faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students, lead extracurricular activities, and contribute to a school with exceptional sporting facilities and a strong commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across all key stages
- Organise and lead a wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities and fixtures
- Work collaboratively with the PE Faculty to develop student learning and drive results
- Inspire students to be active, healthy, and engaged in sport
- Support the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
- Maintain and develop the school’s state-of-the-art PE facilities
- Act as a role model in sport and promote a positive, healthy lifestyle
- Contribute to the wider school community through teamwork and leadership
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Experience in delivering PE across key stages
Preferred
- Experience in leading extracurricular sporting activities
- Experience with sports development or coaching
- Experience working in a high-performing school environment
- Experience with safeguarding and promoting student welfare
- First-Class Honours degree or equivalent
