Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sports programme, including athletics, netball, and cheerleading.
  • Support and supervise extracurricular activities and sports fixtures before and after school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall PE and sports experience for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in physical and academic development.
  • Promote a culture of health, teamwork, and lifelong learning through physical education.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of sustainability and ecological awareness through PE and sports.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching physical education in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
  • Native-level English language skills.
  • Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching swimming and working across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Experience in developing and managing sports and extracurricular programmes.
