The Opportunity:

As People Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and improving all core people processes across the school. This role ensures that HR systems, compliance, and employee data are handled with efficiency and care. The ideal candidate will help shape a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports the school’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead HR systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and user-friendly.
  • Oversee compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to employment.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven processes for people operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture and other key stakeholders to implement organisational change initiatives.
  • Ensure all HR processes are fair, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s values.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage employee contracts, benefits, and lifecycle processes.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures that enhance the employee experience.
  • Provide insights and reports based on people data to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior people operations or shared services role within a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of HR systems and data analytics.
  • Experience in managing organisational change and implementing new processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in the education sector or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Familiarity with UK employment law and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with managing large-scale HR operations or shared services functions.
  • Strong track record in improving employee engagement and workplace culture.
