The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced and passionate Physical Education Teacher (IB and Swimming Specialist) to join its dynamic team. This role is integral to delivering a high-quality PE and swimming programme that supports student development and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the IB and UK curriculum.
  • Teach swimming and water safety to students of all ages.
  • Organise and lead school sports events and competitions.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education with academic learning.
  • Support the development of students’ physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during physical activities.
  • Participate in school-wide events and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in PE and swimming instruction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience in a recognised educational institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK PE curriculum.
  • Proven experience teaching IGCSE and IB programmes.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Additional qualifications in sports coaching or physical education.
  • Experience with swimming instruction and lifeguarding.
