The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic team and contribute to the school’s vibrant co-curricular life. This role offers the chance to inspire students through innovative teaching and support their development across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across a range of age groups and qualifications.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme, including after-school fixtures and weekend events.
  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive PE activities that promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Support students in building confidence, resilience, and teamwork through sport and physical activity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE department’s curriculum and extracurricular offerings.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive school culture through sport and physical education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in PE activities.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
  • Ability to teach across all age ranges and qualifications, including Cambridge Nationals and A Levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.
  • Experience in delivering sport and physical education in a school setting.

Preferred

  • Specialism in netball and/or hockey.
  • Experience in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with Positive Education and wellbeing-focused teaching approaches.
  • Experience with teaching boys and girls in a mixed-gender environment.
