The Opportunity:

A Physical Education Teacher is sought to deliver a dynamic and comprehensive sports curriculum. This role offers the chance to inspire students, lead sports teams, and contribute to a vibrant co-curricular programme that enhances the overall school experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE, Games, and swimming lessons across all Key Stages.
  • Coach and lead sports teams, both locally and internationally, including participation in fixtures and tournaments.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and physical well-being.
  • Contribute to co-curricular activities, including Saturday Sports and internal tournaments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and school-wide events.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment for all students.
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback through effective assessment methods.
  • Attend sporting residential events and provide supervision when required.
  • Support the school's pastoral and academic community through professional involvement and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong honours degree and accredited teaching qualification.
  • Evidence of being or having the potential to be an excellent teacher.
  • Native speaker level of English in all forms of communication.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children.
  • Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Sympathy with the values and needs of working in a boarding environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a boarding school setting.
  • Experience teaching across Pre-Prep, Prep, and Senior School levels.
  • High competence in traditional British sports.
  • Coaching or officiating qualifications in a major sport.
