The Opportunity:

As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality PE curriculum to students from EYFS through to KS5. You will inspire a passion for sport and physical activity, contributing to a vibrant extra-curricular programme and supporting the school's commitment to developing well-rounded, active young women.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons across all key stages.
  • Coach multiple sports to a high standard, with particular expertise in football, netball, hockey, badminton, tennis, or athletics being an advantage.
  • Contribute to the management and development of the PE department and its extra-curricular programme.
  • Support students in developing a lifelong appreciation for physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sport and other departmental colleagues to enhance the school's sporting culture.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of competitive and development squads, fixtures, and events.
  • Promote the values of teamwork, resilience, and leadership through sport.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of school facilities and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Physical Education.
  • Experience of teaching across a range of key stages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coach multiple sports to a high standard.
  • Commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching football, netball, hockey, badminton, tennis, or athletics.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular sports programmes and competitive fixtures.
  • Experience working in an independent or selective school setting.
  • Familiarity with the GDST and its ethos.
