The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team. This role plays a vital part in shaping students’ physical and health education, promoting lifelong fitness, and supporting their overall wellbeing in a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Physical and Health Education (PHE) lessons aligned with the IB MYP curriculum.
  • Foster student engagement through innovative teaching methods and experiential learning activities.
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle and positive attitude towards physical activity and personal wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student development across academic, social, and emotional domains.
  • Participate in curriculum development and school-wide initiatives that enhance student learning and wellbeing.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students as part of a holistic educational approach.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with the school’s standards and IB requirements.
  • Stay updated with current trends and research in physical education and health.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with professional qualifications in Education, preferably with coursework in kinesiology, exercise physiology, or applied physical education.
  • Extensive experience in teaching IB MYP Physical and Health Education (PHE).
  • Supervised teaching practice as part of formal pre-service teacher training.
  • Compliance with Hong Kong Government criteria for teacher registration.

Preferred

  • Experience in a bilingual working environment.
  • Strong IT and curriculum development skills.
  • Experience with experiential learning and student wellbeing programs.
