The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join a dynamic and high-achieving department. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on IGCSE and IBDP Physics. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Physics for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Teach IGCSE (Cambridge) and IBDP Physics at both SL and HL, as well as combined science for Years 7 and 8.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a rigorous and challenging curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence through individualized guidance and mentorship.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school by participating in clubs, events, and student activities.
  • Stay up to date with current developments in Physics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings, departmental planning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Physics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience with IGCSE (Cambridge) and IBDP Physics curricula.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and holistic education.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching combined science to Years 7 and 8.
  • Experience with international curricula and cross-cultural teaching environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team collaboration skills within a department.
  • Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme and its assessment requirements.
  • Passion for co-curricular involvement and student engagement.
