The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Physics Teacher to join a dynamic and accomplished department. This role offers the opportunity to teach a wide range of students, from 13 to 18 years old, across iGCSE and A-level, and to contribute to the school’s rich extra-curricular programme. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students across the 13 to 18 age range, including iGCSE and A-level.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students, with a focus on stretching the most able.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching approaches.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Support the integration of practical and theoretical aspects of Physics in teaching.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Physics curriculum.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and research.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physics education, or willingness to complete full training.
  • Ability to teach Physics to students aged 13 to 18.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student development.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching iGCSE and A-level Physics.
  • Background in research or industry, with the ability to bring real-world insights into teaching.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular activities related to Physics.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
