Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons to students at KS3, GCSE, and post-16 levels.
- Support students in achieving outstanding academic results through differentiated instruction and effective assessment strategies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s enriched curriculum, including the IGCSE and IB programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching and learning across the science department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and STEM-related initiatives to enhance student engagement and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A B.Ed. or degree with a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, with exceptional subject knowledge in Physics.
- Experience in teaching Physics at GCSE and IB or A Level.
- A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
- A commitment to ensuring all students have the potential to achieve top performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
- Experience in developing and delivering enriched curriculum programmes.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
