The Opportunity:

As a Physics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students' understanding of science and inspiring a lifelong love of learning within a dynamic and supportive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students across various grade levels, ensuring alignment with the IB curriculum and learning outcomes.
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Support students in achieving academic success through differentiated instruction and personalized learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the department's curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the school's mission by fostering an inclusive and innovative learning environment.
  • Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay current with educational trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with a relevant teaching qualification in Physics.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Secondary Physics, preferably within an IB curriculum school.
  • Strong understanding of the IB MYP & DP framework and Approaches to Teaching.
  • A genuine passion for working in a culturally diverse and non-selective environment.
  • Commitment to the IB Learner Profile values and a collaborative teaching approach.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Programmes & Diploma Programmes.
  • Advanced qualifications in Physics or education.
  • A proven track record of improving student outcomes and fostering a love of learning.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or similar.
  • Availability from August 2026.
