The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics at all key stages, including A-level, with a focus on engaging and challenging students.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of Physics.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Support the professional development of students and colleagues through collaboration and mentorship.
  • Work closely with other subject teachers and pastoral staff to ensure a holistic approach to student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives to support the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Physics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 3 and 4, with the ability to teach A-level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting, particularly in a similar educational environment.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or other additional subjects.
  • Previous experience in co-curricular activities or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with the PGCE program or willingness to pursue teacher training.
