As a Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students reach their full potential and challenge their abilities. You will be part of a dedicated Science department that inspires learning from KS3 through to A Level, with a strong emphasis on both academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to GCSE and A Level students, ensuring engaging and effective teaching.
- Support students in reaching their academic potential and challenge the most able.
- Contribute to co-curricular activities, including those in Sport, Performing Arts, and Outdoor Education.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science department to enhance teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s mission and values.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement of Science curriculum delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Physics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Physics at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to contributing to co-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting with a focus on student development.
- Familiarity with Science curriculum and assessment methods.
- Experience in a boarding or day school environment.
