The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join a successful department with a proven track record of outstanding results. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and development across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to KS3 and KS4 students, with the potential to also teach Chemistry and/or Biology to KS3.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students, promoting a deep understanding of Physics.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results, with a focus on preparing them for GCSE and A Level examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and student support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Physics.
  • Experience teaching Physics to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • ECT (Early Career Teacher) status or willingness to complete ECT training.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Physics at KS5.
  • Experience with Science GCSE and A Level qualifications.
  • Familiarity with current teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with CPD and professional development initiatives.
