Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics instruction in line with the IB MYP and DP curriculum.
  • Lead and inspire students through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the science department, potentially as Head of Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance curricular, co-curricular, and pastoral programmes.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of academic excellence, wellbeing, and internationalism.
  • Mentor and guide junior teachers, contributing to the professional development of the department.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in Physics and education.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider community through co-curricular and pastoral activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong academic background in Physics.
  • Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with the IB MYP and DP curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to the values of a forward-thinking international school.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a science department.
  • Background in British international education.
  • Experience with the Malvern College ethos and vision.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the holistic development of students.
