Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics instruction in line with the IB MYP and DP curriculum.
- Lead and inspire students through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the science department, potentially as Head of Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance curricular, co-curricular, and pastoral programmes.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of academic excellence, wellbeing, and internationalism.
- Mentor and guide junior teachers, contributing to the professional development of the department.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in Physics and education.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the wider community through co-curricular and pastoral activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong academic background in Physics.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with the IB MYP and DP curriculum.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Commitment to the values of a forward-thinking international school.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a science department.
- Background in British international education.
- Experience with the Malvern College ethos and vision.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the holistic development of students.
