The Opportunity:
A Visiting Piano Teacher is needed to teach piano on a part-time basis, three days a week. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive school environment while supporting students in their musical development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and ensure the learning of piano playing to students of all ages.
- Support the planning and delivery of shows and events across the school.
- Invoice parents promptly, collect fees, and organise a teaching schedule.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, pupils, and colleagues.
- Liaise with Music staff regarding examinations and events.
- Keep the Directors of Music informed of pupil progress and any teaching or administrative issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a piano teacher.
- Ability to manage and deliver piano lessons effectively.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience with invoicing and financial administration.
- Flexibility to work on a part-time, freelance basis.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with music examinations and events.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with teaching students of various ages and abilities.
