The Opportunity:
A Play Worker is needed to provide safe, creative, and appropriate play opportunities for children from foundation to Year 6. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to foster a positive and engaging out-of-school experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full care and supervision for children in a safe and nurturing environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a variety of engaging and educational activities
- Communicate effectively with the school, parents, and carers to ensure the well-being of children
- Prepare and serve refreshments in line with the school’s policies and health guidelines
- Attend regular meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a care or educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to child safety and welfare
- Flexibility to work across different hours and days as required
Preferred
- Previous experience in a play or early years setting
- Knowledge of child development and play theory
- Experience in planning and delivering structured activities
- First aid and safeguarding qualifications
