The Opportunity:
A Portuguese Teacher (Portuguese Ab Initio – Maternity Cover) is needed to join a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging Portuguese language lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels.

- Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster an interactive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and participation.
- Encourage student engagement in extracurricular activities related to Portuguese and Lusophone culture.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
- Support student well-being and address challenges with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide detailed progress reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Portuguese Language and Literature or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Portuguese at the Middle or High School level.
- Strong understanding of modern language teaching methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to design effective assessments and use educational technology.
- Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English (spoken and written).
