The Opportunity:

As a Positive Behaviour Support Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting staff teams to create environments where young people can thrive. This role focuses on developing and delivering a high-quality Positive Behaviour Support approach, ensuring that children can develop the skills they need for a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, organise, and deliver a high-quality Positive Behaviour Support approach.
  • Work in partnership with children and their families to identify individual support needs and develop effective individualised plans.
  • Ensure staff teams benefit from person-centred PBS training, role modelling of good practice, and coaching.
  • Support staff in understanding behaviours and collaborating to create and implement proactive strategies.
  • Identify and deliver training needs based on the requirements of the school and its students.
  • Promote co-production and ensure that individualised plans are effectively implemented.
  • Ensure the delivery of support that is tailored to the specific needs of each child.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of three years’ experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs.
  • A relevant qualification in SEN/Health & Social Care.
  • In-depth knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
  • Understanding of individual behaviour support plans, young person risk assessments, and targeted support.
  • Experience of identifying and delivering training needs.
  • Experience of working in partnership with young people and their families.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a school or care setting with children with complex needs.
  • Experience in a leadership or coaching role.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to take the initiative.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a commitment to the well-being of young people.

  • Competitive salary range of £34,434 - £39,862.
