The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high-quality Early Years curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.
  • Plan, assess, and differentiate learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of individual children.
  • Create and maintain a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that reflects children's interests and achievements.
  • Monitor and document children's progress in line with the EYFS Framework and school assessment policies.
  • Provide timely, purposeful feedback to children and contribute to reporting cycles for parents.
  • Foster positive behaviour and relationships based on mutual respect, trust, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to enhance learning provision.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including registers, pupil observations, and parent communication logs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant early years teaching qualification and experience.
  • Strong understanding of Early Years pedagogy and child development.
  • Commitment to the values of the school and its Code of Conduct.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support the school's mission.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with educational research and evidence-informed teaching practices.
  • Experience in pastoral care and child safeguarding.
  • Flexibility to support school events and trips outside of normal hours.
  • Experience in co-curricular activities and after-school clubs.
