Summary:

Premises Assistant needed to ensure school safety and security at a school in Surrey.

The Opportunity:

As a Premises Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, security, and functionality of the school environment. You will work closely with contractors and support the upkeep of school buildings and equipment within budget constraints. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of the school premises at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors and other stakeholders regarding premises and site management issues.
  • Support the maintenance of buildings, machinery, and plant within allocated budgets.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of school facilities and infrastructure.
  • Assist in the management of site-related incidents and emergencies.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support the overall operations of the premises team to ensure smooth running of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in premises management or a related field.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with building maintenance systems and equipment.
  • Experience working with contractors and external service providers.
  • Understanding of educational environments and the needs of students and staff.
