The Opportunity:

As a Premises Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the school site, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission and ensuring the smooth operation of all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the management and maintenance of the school premises.
  • Lead all renovation and expansion projects related to the school’s facilities and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and statutory requirements.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, decorating, and grounds upkeep.
  • Maintain site security by managing access to the school premises.
  • Supervise and manage cleaning contractors to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in premises management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage and complete a range of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with neurodiverse students.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of a dynamic school environment.
