The Opportunity:
As a Premises Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the school site, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission and ensuring the smooth operation of all facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the management and maintenance of the school premises.
- Lead all renovation and expansion projects related to the school’s facilities and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, decorating, and grounds upkeep.
- Maintain site security by managing access to the school premises.
- Supervise and manage cleaning contractors to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in premises management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage and complete a range of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with neurodiverse students.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and renovation projects.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of a dynamic school environment.
