The Opportunity:

The Prep After School Care Supervisor will manage the welfare, care, and safety of students aged 7–11 during after-school hours and lead a variety of engaging activities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the welfare, care, and safety of pupils during after-school hours.
  • Plan, organise, and supervise a range of stimulating and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for children aged 7–11.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline.
  • Support the school’s values of inclusion, creativity, and compassion.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to enhance student experiences.
  • Keep accurate records and report regularly on activities and student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience working with young children.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a group of children in a safe and structured environment.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of inclusion, creativity, and compassion.
  • Flexibility to work term-time only and part-time hours.

Preferred

  • Experience in after-school care or similar settings.
  • Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
  • First Aid or childcare qualifications.
  • Experience with arts and crafts or games-based activities for children.
