The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chinese language to students from Year 1 onwards, aligned with the UK National Curriculum and International Chinese Language Education Standards.
• Collaborate with English QTS and Bilingual Maths teachers to ensure curriculum coherence and creativity.
• Support students through effective classroom management, assessment for learning, and pastoral care.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of cross-curricular themes and Learning for Life activities.
• Participate in the planning and execution of the extra-curricular programme You Time!.
• Engage in continuous professional development and share best practices with colleagues.
• Provide high-quality instruction that promotes student engagement and academic achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Fully qualified teacher with a current and relevant teaching license/qualification, including class teacher or homeroom experience.
• Full working knowledge of the UK National Curriculum (Key Stage 1 or 2).
• Familiarity with the latest International Chinese Language Education Standards and the Cultural Framework.
• Excellent classroom management, assessment for learning, and pastoral care skills.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents.
• Commitment to professional growth and extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school with the English National Curriculum.
