Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons based on the UK National Curriculum.
  • Provide additional support to students with English as a second language to enhance their participation and understanding.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement and active learning.
  • Regularly assess, track, and report on student progress while differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular units and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.
  • Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds and provide a nurturing, culturally responsive learning environment.
  • Manage time effectively and commit to continuous professional development and reflection.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning contexts and student needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally within a British or international curriculum framework.
  • Strong classroom delivery skills and the ability to design engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ability to establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and reflective practice.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting EAL learners, particularly Mandarin-speaking students in English-medium classrooms.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and cross-curricular teaching approaches.
